Hyracodon primus
Taxonomy
Hyracodon primus was named by Peterson (1934). Its type locality is Halfway Hollow (Lapoint Member), which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial horizon in the Duchesne River Formation of Utah.
It was synonymized subjectively with Mesamynodon medius by Scott (1945); it was synonymized subjectively with Hyracodon medius by Rasmussen et al. (1999).
