Hypertragulus sequens
Taxonomy
Hypertragulus sequens was named by Cook (1934). Its type specimen is No. HC502, a mandible (part of a right lower jaw), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Monroe Creek (Cook Collection), which is in a Monroecreekian terrestrial horizon in the Monroe Creek Formation of Nebraska.
