Heteropliohippus hulberti
Taxonomy
Heteropliohippus hulberti was named by Kelly (1995). Its type specimen is LACM 6106, a partial skeleton (partial skull with associated partial dentaries and forelimb elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nettle Spring Canyon (LACM 6106), which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in the Caliente Formation of California. It is the type species of Heteropliohippus.
