Multifissoolithus megadermus

Taxonomy
Oolithes megadermus was named by Young (1959). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is gully between Chiangchunting and Chaochun, Laiyang, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian terrestrial claystone in the Jiangjunding Formation of China.

It was recombined as Multifissoolithus megadermus by Zhang (2022); it was recombined as Spheroolithus megadermus by Zhao (1978), Zhao (1979), Mikhailov (2000), Jackson and Varricchio (2010), Wang et al. (2012), Liu et al. (2013), Zhao et al. (2013), Sellés et al. (2014), Moreno-Azanza et al. (2014), Zhang et al. (2017), Hedge et al. (2025).
