Taxonomy
Paramyrtea sabulosa was named by Kendrick and Vartak (2007). Its type specimen is ARI G2702/1, a valve, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Odiyam locality 1, which is in a Cenomanian carbonate packstone in the Karai Formation of India. It is the type species of Paramyrtea.
