Bessoecetor septentrionalis
Taxonomy
Diacodon septentrionalis was named by Russell (1929). Its type specimen is UALVP 126, a mandible (incomplete left dentary containing m3), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Cochrane 1, which is in a Ti1 terrestrial horizon in the Paskapoo Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Propalaeosinopa septentrionalis by Fox (1990); it was recombined as Bessoecetor septentrionalis by Scott et al. (2002), Scott et al. (2013).
