S. E. Edgar et al. 2022Trionychidae by sculpturing of the metaplastic portions of carapacial and plastral bones, and by the absence of peripherals, pygals, and keratinous scales. It can be diagnosed as a plastomenid by costals VIII anteroposteriorly longer thanmediolaterally wide and midline contact between the posterior plastral elements.
