Paracimexomys priscus
Taxonomy
Cimexomys priscus was named by Lillegraven (1969). Its type specimen is UA 3231, a tooth (isolated right M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trochu (KUA-1), which is in a Lancian terrestrial claystone/siltstone in the Scollard Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Paracimexomys priscus by Archibald (1982), Lillegraven and McKenna (1986), Fox (1989), Storer (1991), Montellano (1992), Montellano et al. (2000), Eaton and Cifelli (2001), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004), Donohue et al. (2013).
