Carpodaptes aulacodon
Taxonomy
Carpodaptes aulacodon was named by Matthew and Granger (1921). Its type specimen is A.M.N.H. No. 17367, a mandible (lower jaw with P2-M3, alveolus of P1 and part of canine alveolus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mason Pocket, which is in a Tiffanian fissure fill shale in Colorado.
