Micasarcina vallis
Taxonomy
Micasarcina vallis was named by Squires and Saul (2003). Its type specimen is LACMIP 12516 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CIT loc. 1007, Oak Run, which is in a Coniacian coastal siliciclastic in the Redding Formation of California. It is the type species of Micasarcina.
