Taxonomy
Nyanzachoerus nakaliensis was named by Tsubamoto et al. (2020). Its type specimen is KNM-NA 193, a tooth (left P3/), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nakali, which is in a Tortonian terrestrial horizon in the Nakali Formation of Kenya.
