It was recombined as Hydraspis leithi by Gray (1871), Lydekker (1889); it was recombined as Carteremys leithi by Williams (1953), Gaffney et al. (2006); it was recombined as Carteremys leithii by de Lapparent de Broin and Prasad (2020).
