Osodobenus eodon
Taxonomy
Osodobenus eodon was named by Biewer et al. (2020). Its type specimen is LACM 150922, a skull (fairly complete skull, including left and right I3, canines, P1 and P2,), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lake Forest, which is in a Messinian marine sandstone in the Capistrano Formation of California. It is the type species of Osodobenus.
