Ariopsis castilloensi
Taxonomy
Ariopsis castilloensi was named by Aguilera et al. (2020). Its type specimen is UNEFM-PF-0396, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro La Cruz (Castillo Formation), Lara, which is in a Burdigalian shallow subtidal marl in the Castillo Formation of Venezuela.
