Thylamys zettii

Named in memory of Jorge Zetti (19381974), who originally described the holotype
Taxonomy
Thylamys zettii was named by Goin (1997). Its type specimen is MLP 66-XII-13-3, a mandible (left mandible with canine, p1, p3–m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Base of Arroyo Guamini, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial horizon in the Epecuen Formation of Argentina.
