Taxonomy
Niveotectura myrakeenae was named by Lindberg and Marincovich (1988). Its type specimen is USNM 414579, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Cenozoic M7540, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene marine horizon in the Yakataga Formation of Alaska.
