Ophthalmosaurus robustus
Taxonomy
Baptanodon robustus was named by Gilmore (1905). Its type specimen is CM 919, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Red Fork, Powder River, which is in a Bathonian/Oxfordian marine horizon in the Sundance Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Ophthalmosaurus robustus by Hay (1930).
