Taxonomy
Angulotreta postapicalis was named by Palmer (1954). Its type specimen is UT-32207a, a valve (brachial), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bureau of Economic Geology loc. 16T-6-10A (LL), which is in a Guzhangian marine limestone in the Riley Formation of Texas.
