Taxonomy
Amynodontopsis jiyuanensis was named by Wang et al. (2020). Its type specimen is IVPP V 26305, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dongzhang Village, Jiyuan City, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial horizon in the Niezhuang Formation of China.
