Taxonomy
Venericardia (Glyptoactis) keenae was named by Verástegui (1953). Its type specimen is LSJU 7993, a valve (189952), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Panoche-Dos Palos Road, which is in a Thanetian marine marl in the Lodo Formation of California.

It was recombined as Glyptoactis (Claibornicardia) keenae by Moore (1992) and Hendy (2020).
