Taxonomy
Elasmostoma bajaensis was named by Squires and Demetrion (1989). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1220 [Bateque Fm], which is in a Ypresian offshore sandstone/limestone in the Bateque Formation of Mexico.
