Sinclairella was named by Jepsen (1934). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Apatemyinae by Van Valen (1967); and to Apatemyidae by Jepsen (1934), Simpson (1940), Johnson (1966), Hooker (1986), Gunnell (1989), McKenna and Bell (1997), Silcox et al. (2010), Czaplewski and Morgan (2015) and Korth et al. (2022).
