Stegotherium tauberi
Taxonomy
Stegotherium tauberi was named by Gonzalez and Scilalto-Yané (2008). Its type specimen is YPM PU 15565, a partial skeleton (anterior portion of breastplate, complete skull, cervical vertebrae except 6th and 7th, two thoracic vertebrae and right foot), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Killik Aike Norte, which is in a Santacrucian terrestrial tuff in the Santa Cruz Formation of Argentina.
