Taxonomy
Candiacervus reumeri was named by van der Geer (2018). Its type specimen is AMPG(V) 1736, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liko Cave, 75 uppermost centimetres of the cave filling, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Greece.
