It was assigned to Metatheria by Parker and Haswell (1897); to Metatheria by Gadow (1898); to Marsupialia by Cope (1889), Flower and Lydekker (1891), Hay (1902), Lambe (1908), Gregory (1910), Simpson (1928), Hay (1930); and to Mammalia by Crochet (1995).
