Taxonomy
Eopleurotoma whitakerpeakensis was named by Squires (1987). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7496 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN loc. 827, Canton Canyon, which is in a Ypresian carbonate sandstone in the Juncal Formation of California.
