Taxonomy
Platycyathus grahami was named by Durham (1943). Its type specimen is UCMP 30097 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tierra Loma Quad., California, which is in a Paleocene marine shale in California.
It was recombined as Trochocyathus (Platycyathus) grahami by Squires (1988).
