Ferganiscus osteolepis
Taxonomy
Ferganiscus osteolepis was named by Sytchevskaya and Kakolev (1999) [Name ascribed to these authors in this reference.]. Its type specimen is PIN 3267/17a, b, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Madygen, PIN collection 3267, which is in a Carnian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in the Madygen Formation of Kyrgyzstan. It is the type species of Ferganiscus.
