Taxonomy
Eucalathis giulioi was named by Dulai (2019). Its type specimen is RGM.1351087, a valve (dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tetti Borelli, 0.75-1.2 m above clay layer, which is in a Tortonian deep-water sandstone in the Sant'Agata Fossili Formation of Italy.
