Taxonomy
Orthechinorhinus davidae was named by Welton (2016). Its type specimen is NMMNH 771891, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waldport, south, which is in a Rupelian marine siltstone in the Alsea Formation of Oregon.
