Taxonomy
Trematotegmen otschevi was named by Getmanov (1982). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PIN 4200/1 (SGU 1599/2), a partial skull. Its type locality is Obshchii Syrt Highland, which is in an Induan terrestrial horizon in the Sukhorechka Formation of the Russian Federation.
