Taxonomy
Syrtosuchus morkovini was named by Novikov (2016). It is not extant. Its type specimen is PIN 4513/36, a partial skull. Its type locality is Alekseevka 1, which is in a Triassic terrestrial horizon in the Kamennyi Yar Formation of the Russian Federation.
