I. V. Novikov and A. N. Orlov 1992 (Insulophon) | Translated [Skull rounded-triangular, without sculpturing, woth concave lateral edges. Orbitae strongly expanded posteriorly. Malar arch slender, relatively long. Temporal notch large. Quadratojugals without lateral process. Palate longitudinally flattened, bearing four short tooth rows. Interpterygoidal vacuity narrow. Flange of pterygoid directed downwards by one third of the height of the skull. Pterygoid-quadrate margin of subtemporal window straight. Seven teeth on maxillary, of which at least the four posteriormost ones are molariforms. Dentary low, bearing at least four, relatively small molariforms whose height decrease successively posteriorly. Crowns of the latter ones are slightly expanded transversally. Greatest width is at half level of half of the tooth's height. All teeth acrodont. Adductor fossa of mandible narrow. Coronoid process strongly lexpanded transversally. |
