Taxonomy
Wyonycteris kingi was named by Hooker (2018). Its type specimen is NHMUK M66056, a tooth (right M1/), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Park Hill, Croydon, which is in a Ypresian terrestrial claystone in the Woolwich Formation of the United Kingdom.
