Beckius plicatus

Taxonomy
Beckius plicatus was named by David (1946). Its type specimen is Richfield Oil 111, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jergins Oil Company, Chaney Ranch No. 1 (3543-3864 feet), which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine shale in the Tumey Formation of California. It is the type species of Beckius.
