Apalone amorense

Taxonomy
Apalone amorense was named by Valdes et al. (2017). Its type specimen is UF 43069, a shell (Nearly complete carapace (a right hyoplastron, UF 246380 may represent part of the same individual)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Love Bone Bed, which is in a Clarendonian marginal marine horizon in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
