Foxomomys gunnelli
Taxonomy
Micromomys gunnelli was named by Secord (2008). Its type specimen is UM 77528, a mandible (Left dentary with p4, root of i1, alveoli for c1-p3, and m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schaff Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Foxomomys gunnelli by Chester and Bloch (2013).
