Taxonomy
Nerita (Amphinerita) gouetensis was named by Symonds and Pacaud (2010). Its type specimen is MNHN A31489 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bois-Gouët, Saffré, which is in a Bartonian foreshore sandstone in the Sands of Bois-Gouët Formation of France.
