Taxonomy
Landenodon phelizoni was named by Russell (1980). Its type specimen is BR 10156, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mont Berru, which is in a Thanetian fluvial conglomerate in the Sables de Bracheux Formation of France.
