Taxonomy
Spirancilla bechevillersensis was named by Pacaud et al. (2013). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A49900, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Remise Madame, Bachivillers (Pacaud collection), which is in a Thanetian marine horizon in France.
