Paleoungulatum hooleyi
Taxonomy
Paleoungulatum hooleyi was named by Kelly (2014). Its type specimen is LACM 157265, a mandible (left dentary with roots of p3 and complete p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lane's Little Jaw Site, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone/claystone in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Paleoungulatum.
