Paraceratherium grangeri
Taxonomy
Baluchitherium grangeri was named by Osborn (1923). Its type specimen is AMNH 18650, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loh, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Indricotherium transouralicum by Gromova (1959), Fortelius and Kappelman (1993); it was recombined as Paraceratherium grangeri by Qiu and Wang (2007).
