Austroposeidon magnificus
Taxonomy
Austroposeidon magnificus was named by Bandeira et al. (2016). Its type specimen is MCT 1628-R, a set of vertebrae, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Raposo Tavares road (BR-374), close to the Assis Chateaubriand Road (SP-425), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian crevasse splay sandstone in the Presidente Prudente Formation of Brazil.
