Irrawadymeryx pondaungi
Taxonomy
Irrawadymeryx pondaungi was named by Métais et al. (2007). Its type specimen is TUDW-20061, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Than-u-daw, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar. It is the type species of Irrawadymeryx.
