Taxonomy
Cadurcogekko rugosus was named by Augé (2005). Its type specimen is MNHN No. SND 622 (left dentary) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sindou D, which is in a Priabonian karst phosphorite in France.
It was recombined as Gekkomimus rugosus by Bolet et al. (2015).
