Borkenia germanica
Taxonomy
Ocadia germanica was named by Hummel (1935). Its type specimen is GM-MLU Leo-100 (LeoI/6977), a partial skeleton (shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Geiseltal, Mittelkohle, Zone III (Middlecoal, zone III), which is in a Lutetian lacustrine lignite in Germany.
It was recombined as Chrysemys germanica by Mlynarski (1977); it was recombined as Borkenia germanica by Hervet (2004).
