Rhodopagus minimus

Taxonomy
Caenolophus minimus was named by Matthew and Granger (1925). Its type specimen is AMNH 20310, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ula Usu, Shara Murum (AMNH), which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Shara Murum Formation of China.

It was recombined as Rhodopagus minimus by Radinsky (1965), Lucas and Schoch (1981).

Synonyms
  • Rhodopagus pygmaeus was named by Radinsky (1965). Its type specimen is AMNH 21554, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulan Shireh (SSPE), which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Shara Murum Formation of China.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Rhodopagus minimus by Lucas and Schoch (1981).
