Kimbetopsalis simmonsae
Taxonomy
Kimbetopsalis simmonsae was named by Williamson et al. (2016). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-69902, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is West Flank Kimbeto Wash (NMMNH L-9181), which is in a Puercan terrestrial mudstone in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Kimbetopsalis.
