Aphelosaurus lutevensis
Taxonomy
Aphelosaurus lutevensis was named by Gervais (1858). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.LOD 180, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Les Tuilieres, Lodeve, which is in an Asselian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Usclas-Saint-Privas Formation of France. It is the type species of Aphelosaurus.
