Galeamopus hayi
Taxonomy
Diplodocus hayi was named by Holland (1924). Its type specimen is HMS 175 (= CM 662), a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Red Fork Powder River Quarry A, which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian pond horizon in the Morrison Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Galeamopus.
It was recombined as Galeamopus hayi by Tschopp et al. (2015), Tschopp and Mateus (2017), Tschopp et al. (2019).
